Timanfaya – Fire Mountains<\/h2>\n

A must-see attraction in the Canary Islands is Timanfaya National Park, situated on the island and in the autonomous community of Lanzarote. In 2020, it became the second most visited national park in the Canary Islands, behind Teide, and the fourth most visited in Spain.Throughout Timanfaya, \u2018geothermal anomalies\u2019 occur \u2013 a term coined by volcanologists. This phenomenon generates unusual surface temperatures caused by heat rising from the subsoil.
In addition, a 14-kilometre trail for visitors, nicknamed \u201cThe Volcano Trail\u201d, has been created within the national park.
